Celebrating its 52nd year in 2007. The Chevrolet Small-Block V8 was introduced in 1955. Surely one of the most successful engines in America's automotive history. Millions of these engines have been produced over the years. They found their way under the bonnets of most of Chevrolet's cars, pickup trucks and vans, as well as loads of famous racers and drag cars. Despite the small size 'by American standards' the Small-Blocks were easily tuned and modified to increase their power and performance.
